The most important information I have learned at MMA is Self Defense. In my opinion everybody should learn self defense especially Ladies. I am a petite young woman which can make me a likely target. I’m also a college student and I’ve taken night classes. I found myself walking to my car in dark parking lots. Taking regular classes and practicing different self defense techniques gives me great confidence that I will be able to protect myself in a bad situation.

Being a busy person, working full-time, attending school part-time, does not leave a lot of time for other activities. And that is what is so great about taking martial arts. It helps me to maintain or lose weight, while at the same time I am increasing strength, endurance, flexibility, and it helps relieve stress. And to add to all of that, I have also learnt self defense. I hope I never have to use it but I know if something were to happen I would at least stand a fair chance of getting away from a potentially harmful situation. There are two more benefits I would like to add. First, attending TKD classes gives one the opportunity to socialize with others who hold similar values for physical fitness and self improvement. Secondly, the chance to share the knowledge one has gained with another. It is very rewarding to help others improve and reach their goals.
